WHat I am thinking about..

"We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located
among the
million s and millions of cows in America , but we haven't got a
clue as to
where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located.
Maybe we
should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of
immigration."

Why is it that we really know what we want to know or more the point acknowledge or pursue what we want, but ignore the things we are happily holding on to. If we fixed the terrorism issue what would we politic over? If we fixed Iraq, which American companies would stop controlling the economy?

If we dealt with our bitterness, where would we put that emotional energy? If we stopped fantasizing about him, would we have to face the possibility of singleness and the plan of God?

Very true. VERY true.

Its funny to think about my dad, a raving "you're not Christian unless you vote republican" advocate. Then you've got me. Any time I try to think about who I'm going to vote for I can't help but consider the fact that our government is indirectly supporting the drug war. The same war, by the way, that is ripping our country to shreds like fruit juicer. Any time I listen to talk radio I think about the wealthy business men who are all but controlling this country. Even worse, I think about a self serving vulture media that lures a mindless country into a cleverly labeled rat trap called pop culture, only to watch its victims' backs broken by the realization that fifteen minutes of idol "glory" have ended, and all thats left is a bunch of divorced-out, retarded, hurting kids doomed to follow in their parents footsteps (if you can even call them parents).

In the end though, is God any less in control? Has human kind finally succeeded in dethroning the king of the universe? I doubt it. God is still God. The question is, when are we going to stop sprinting down this self-destructive jogging trail and realize that we need more than our strength to survive?

The thing is it doesn't start in our friends or spouses or bosses or presidents. It starts with us.

Wow...what a rant! I'm done!
